Sri Lanka – Kolonnawa – Rehabilitation, Health & Education
Srikanth left his stable gainful professional services employment as a Security Officer in Dubai and together with his wife returned to Sri Lanka to work among the downtrodden, depressed, displace people in Kolonnawa and in the remote villages in hill country. His daily work includes rescuing young female sex workers and drug addicted young men and putting them through rehabilitation, food distribution among elderly, widows and single mothers with children, visitation of persons in hospitals and prisons, and visitation to care for people in remote villages.
ActionLove Australia has provided support to purchase roofing sheets for the rehabilitation centre, funded the first 3 months of costs for the Bible College which commenced its first class on 16 June 2025, is in the midst of purchasing a motor vehicle desperately required for the many requirements of this work.
ActionLove Australia has assisted with the purchase of van to support the community efforts of VOG. This vehicle has become an essential tool for reaching families living in mountain and remote village areas, enabling the delivery of food, essential supplies, and community support. It also provides safe and reliable transport for young people to attend educational classes, school and training programes, as well as other transport needs.
Through this contribution, ActionLove Australia is helping strengthen community outreach and improve access to life-changing opportunities for those in need.
Because of the great need for the people of Sri Lanka to receive education for physical and mental health, for professional development and productivity, for stable relationships at home, Srikanth has a dream to raise up 1,000 young men and mentor their maturity of vision and purpose to such an extent that they can each shoulder the responsibility to care for community groups comprising at least 1,000 people each in various parts of Sri Lanka.
